P2P

File sharing is exactly what it sounds like. It is to share files whether it be an audio, video, or a word document. File sharing makes it easier on people who want to send files to each other. P2P File sharing is peer to peer file sharing which allows individuals to access any file using a certain software. For example, back in the day, limewire was an audio P2P file sharing where anyone can download any music they want just by searching it up because other people have already uploaded it to the software. A big concern that came up with P2P File sharing is the illegal use of copyrighted movies. Individuals use BitTorrent to share these types of files. Brian Stelter and Brad Stone states " Using a search engine, anyone can find free copies of movies, still in theaters, in a matter of minutes. Thanks for BitTorrent, a form of P2P file sharing, people no longer have to pay to watch movies in theater or to buy the DVD/streaming online when it comes out. This however, is a major loss for entertainment companies and movie theaters.
